Teacups

 

Just finished stitching a beautiful little teacup series for a booklet, in time for the launch at the new Brisbane Show next week. Based on cup profiles from the Victoria & Albert Museum catalogues with little Ella roses on them yumm. I painted the roses in a soft permanent watercolour before stitching and its so effective.

But there's more, I have some painted pre printed little stitcheries of single cups left over, so any order before the 25th will receive one as a gift.

Single painted cups will retail at $8 and the little pattern book for $15. I have full sets of painted teacups on homespun and a book for $50 as a show special, these are limited so get in first.

Back to cooking dinner, then more tea related stitching and a Sunday Night Movie with some Rocky Road.

The shoes are back

Finally got back into shoe mode with these lovely pink pumps called "Prissy" because they are conservative in a way.

I painted the shoe in a watercolour type wash, leaving highlights on the toe. Jo Sonya paints (Plum Pink) watered down and mixed with Texile Medium, then lightly ironed with Baking Paper on top to seal the painting. 2 Strands of Pink DMC 335 in a Backstitch. Planning the next shoe, so watch out.

Colonial Houses

 

Finally have the Machine Embroidery disc ready of the Colonial Houses and it looks soooo good.

It even has 3 sizes of all 6 houses and the trees can be separated as well, so I am envisaging little rows of pruned shrubs and trees as borders. You could create your own garden around the houses... make little coasters and placemats, frame them or make into a Heritage quilt. Click on the above image for more.

Golden Crinoline Scissor Fob

Isn't she gorgeous, measuring 3½x4½". I've used her as a fob for my little gold embroidery scissors. The crinoline is featured on the cover of the new Crinoline China, so I will include one with every purchase of the booklet. Otherwise she can be purchased for $8 on the website.

Now I can put her back in my embroidery bag, such little thrills we embroiders get, beautiful scissors and a good looking crinoline girl fob so I can spot my scissors easily.

Just packaged up some single pre-printed Cottage & Crinoline girls for the website at $12 each. Ideal gift for a Crinoline enthusiast. The pattern cover has a b/w drawing but the stitching colours are all listed.

New POM

Two stitcheries of cups. This one is called Jessica after my dear mum. Currently making it into a cute cup bag with this gorgeous Japanese fabric.

TeaTime

Another Tea inspired stitchery with a cute saying suitable for a friend. Had this unstitched for a year or two so it felt good to finish another U.F.O. Making it into a sweet cushion using shabby chic fabrics.

Cupcake Maker

Picked up the rubbish mail to take to the bin and noticed a whacky new electrical product.

A cup cake maker, what next, I need to go out more. There are things happening in the retail world that I have no knowledge about. It only makes 6 cupcakes and we all know that amount won't even make it to the table.

To celebrate this enlightenment, I have drawn a new cupcake for you to download.

Its a healthy option cupcake with a Strawberry and a Kiwi fruit slice on top. Maybe Strawberry Icing with little fruity chips on top.
